Light up your Labor Day weekend at one of the most unforgettable events on Big Bear Lake, the Boat Parade of Lights, hosted by the Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake. This vibrant celebration transforms the lake into a glowing pathway of decorated boats, community spirit, and lakeside magic.
Dozens of boats cruise the shoreline, each one decked out in colorful lights, creative themes, and joyful energy. Spectators gather along the lake to take in the stunning views and soak up the festive atmosphere. It’s a favorite tradition for locals and visitors alike, and one of the most photogenic events in the area.
After the boat parade, the celebration continues with a free Drone Show presented by Visit Big Bear. The sky comes alive with synchronized light displays, creating the perfect ending to this lakeside experience.
Own a boat in Big Bear Lake? You can be part of the excitement. Local residents and second homeowners are invited to register their vessels for the parade. Space is limited, and participation is first-come, first-served.

All participating boats must display their assigned number clearly on the port side. Number pickup and check-in instructions are provided during registration. A valid California Boater’s Card is required for all participants.
