Challenge your endurance, mindset, and legs at Conquer the Wall – Big Bear, a 1-mile vertical race up Snow Summit in the beautiful mountain town of Big Bear Lake, California. With 1,000 feet of elevation gain at 7,000 ft above sea level, this iconic event is one of SoCal’s most demanding short-distance runs and a must-do for competitive runners, fitness fanatics, and outdoor adventure seekers.
Originally developed as a training challenge by Olympian Ryan Hall, this one-mile race climbs up Snow Summit’s steepest dirt trail, now known as “The Wall.” Big Bear High School’s cross-country team still trains on this course each summer. Whether you're racing for fun, competition, or legacy, this event is a tribute to pushing limits.
When you join Conquer the Wall, you're not just racing—you’re experiencing one of the most scenic and challenging mountain runs in California. All participants enjoy:
