The Big Bear Polar Plunge is one of the most exciting annual events in Big Bear Lake, inviting brave participants to run, walk, or dance into the icy waters — all in support of Special Olympics Inland Empire. The unique fundraiser brings together enjoyment and community participation with charitable work to become the most awaited spring event in Big Bear.
By participating in the Big Bear Polar Plunge you support Special Olympics programs which create better lives for athletes who compete in the Inland Empire. These programs provide sports training and health screenings and create year-round athletic training opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities who want to succeed in sports and daily activities. Every dollar raised directly supports these inspiring athletes.
The Polar Plunge is a high-energy day which offers activities that exceed the main plunge event. The event provides a family fun area together with activities for children and raffle prizes and silent auctions and displays of community spirit. The event provides both plungers and supporters with memorable experiences which allow them to support a great cause.
