2/2 – Bear Bowl VI + Super Sunday Viewing Party
Grab some friends and come compete at Bear Bowl VI, Saturday, Feb. 12, at Bear Mountain.*
Registration for this one-of-a-kind on-snow event is FREE, but limited to the first 12 4-person teams, so plan accordingly. The winning team will receive 22/23 season passes, $1000, and VIP service at Methods Sports Bar during the Super Sunday Viewing Party on Sunday, Feb. 13.
The viewing party is open to all ages with food and drink specials, prize giveaways, and more. Come show us your skills on Saturday, then get ready for a Super Sunday.
1/31 – Get Ready for Fun-Filled February
The winter fun is still in full swing at Big Bear Mountain Resort. Bear Mountain and Snow Summit have the most rideable terrain and best snow conditions in SoCal, so grab your gear and head to the mountains for some alpine adventures this month. While you’re here, sign up to compete in Bear Bowl VI, enjoy food and drink specials during the Big Game, or ride under the stars at Night Sessions on select nights.
12/28 – 4-8″ Overnight
Big Bear Mountain Resort received another 4-8″ of new snow overnight and forecasts are calling for more over the next few days.Full-day and half-day lift tickets are sold out today, Dec. 28, but Night Session tickets are still available.
12/26 – 4-6″ Overnight
We must have been extra nice this year because Mother Nature gave us another heaping helping of holiday snow, with 4-6″ overnight and forecasts calling for more over the next few days, so grab your gear and remember to book in advance to lock in the lowest rates.*
12/24 – 1-3″ Still Falling
SR 330/18 to Big Bear is currently closed and chains are required on SR 18 from Lucerne Valley and SR 38 from Redlands.
Old Man Winter is here and brought Big Bear Mountain Resort another 1-3″ of fresh snow this morning and it’s still falling fast. Forecasts are calling for continued snowfall over the weekend, so grab your gear and remember to book in advance to get the best deal.*
12/21 – The North Face Presents CoreNation
Grab your board and get ready for CoreNation, a one-of-a-kind, snowboard-only rail jam presented by The North Face and hosted by pro rider Erik Leon, Dec. 28 at Bear Mountain. The contest is all about having fun and promoting progression while raising awareness and financial support for STOKED, which empowers underserved youth to reach their fullest potential.
Five riders will receive Arbor snowboards and outerwear from The North Face, along with plenty of giveaways for riders and spectators throughout the competition as well as a raffle and silent auction, including products from Arbor boards, The North Face, a BBMR season pass, and more.
12/15 – 8-10″ in last 24 Hours
Chain restrictions are in effect on all routes to Big Bear, so be sure to check road conditions before you head up as well as what’s new for 21/22 and our updated health and safety guidelines. Please note, face coverings are required for all guests, regardless of vaccination status, when indoors at BBMR and on all shuttles.
12/14 – 4-6″ of Fresh Snow & Still Falling
Big Bear Mountain Resort received 4-6″ of fresh snow today and it’s still falling fast. Remember to purchase lift tickets in advance to get the best deal.*
This storm is bringing the goods, so be prepared for real winter weather when traveling to/from the mountains.
12/10 – 2-3″ Freshies for the Weekend

12/3 – Open Daily to the Public
Opening Day for Ski Resorts in Big Bear Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are scheduled to open to the public for the 21/22 winter season on Friday, Dec. 3.
12/2 – Exclusive Early Access for BBMR and Ikon Pass Holders
At Big Bear Mountain Resort, we appreciate our pass holders, which is why 21/22 BBMR and Ikon Pass holders get exclusive access at both mountains on Thursday, Dec. 2, before opening to the public for the 21/22 season on Friday
9/30- Closing Day on 10/11
There are only 2 weekends left to get your late-season laps in at Summit Bike Park. Lifts are open Friday-Monday* with Basecamp activities available Friday-Sunday. Riding conditions are prime, with cooler temps and fall colors making their way to the mountains, so come experience some autumn alpine good times before closing day on Oct. 11.
Remember, all 2021 Summit Bike Park season passes and Quad Packs, as well as valid Mammoth Bike Park season passes and Quad Packs**, are eligible for use at Summit Bike Park for the remainder of the season.
This weekend, catch even more trail updates, including fine tuning to the new jumps on 10-ply and freshly rebuilt sections of Westridge. Alpine good times are back, so head to the mountains for some late-season laps and crisp fall conditions.
9/23 – Bike Park Reopens 9/24/2021
Grab your gear. The US Forest Service closure order has been lifted, which means Summit Bike Park will resume operations tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 24. The Bike Park will be open Friday-Monday, with Basecamp activities available Friday-Sunday, until closing day on Oct. 11. Chairs 1, 2, and 4 will operate Friday-Sunday and Chairs 1 and 2 on Mondays.*
All 2021 Summit Bike Park season passes and Quad Packs, as well as valid Mammoth Bike Park season passes and Quad Packs**, will be eligible for use at the Summit Bike Park for the remainder of the season.
This weekend, be sure to take a few practice runs before you send it, as there are many trail updates, including new jumps and a major overhaul to 10-ply and resurfacing on Blue Steel, Party Wave and Westridge.
9/16/2021 -National Forest closed until 9/22/2021
Due to the state’s ongoing wildfire crisis, the US Forest Service has extended the national forest closure order in Southern California until Sept. 22.
If the order is not extended further, Summit Bike Park is scheduled to resume operations beginning Sept. 24. The Bike Park will operate Friday-Monday, with Basecamp activities available Friday-Sunday until closing day on Oct. 11. All 2021 Summit Bike Park season passes and Quad Packs, as well as Mammoth Bike Park season passes and Quad Packs*, will be eligible for use at Snow Summit for the remainder of the season.
