What Activities Does Big Bear Watersports Offer?

Big Bear Watersports focuses on guided, behind-the-boat lake activities. Guests can book a private charter and choose the activities they want to try during their reserved time.

ZUP Board

Their most popular activity and a beginner-friendly option that can be used lying down, kneeling, standing, surfing, or as a waterski trainer.

Choose the Water Park if: You have kids or active adults who want to climb, crawl, splash, and balance through a floating obstacle course. Big Bear Watersports rates the Water Park around a 7 out of 10 difficulty, so guests should be reasonably active and comfortable in the water.

Plus, this year: Cabanas! A shaded 3-hour jetty rental at Pine Knot Marina for up to 6 guests, with no water access included.

Note: The Waterpark is closed for the season. The 2025 opening season begins June 6, 2025 and it will close on September 7, 2025. Be sure to check back next year for an even more exciting waterpark experience!

What to Know Before You Go

  • Private charters are available for 1, 2, or 3 hours.
  • A captain/coach drives the boat, so guests do not drive.
  • Boats allow 5–6 passengers at one time for safety. Larger groups can rotate or book multiple boats.
  • Clear, spill-proof drinks are allowed, but no alcohol or food on board.
  • Pets and alcohol are not allowed on board.
  • A waiver should be signed before participating.
  • Their cancellation policy requires 72 hours’ notice, and cancellations include a $50 cancellation fee.

Water Park Details

The Big Bear Watersports Water Park runs hourly sessions from 11 AM to 3 PM, with about 45 minutes of course time per session. Guests must complete a 5-minute safety briefing and swim 20 feet from the dock to the Water Park unaided. Life jackets are required and provided.
