Our Cute Cabin

We have rented cabins in big bear with several different companies and Big Bear Destinations has been the best and easiest to use. Love the key in the lock box eliminating the stop, signing papers, and waiting in line at a place of business. Having paper work done in advance online and paying with pay pal was great and didn't take up vacation time.

Every email and phone call before and during the stay was answered and responded to in a timely matter. and took care of the minor issues very quickly. Came out with a new DVD player within an hr on the MLK holiday weekend. Can not ask for more.

As for those that our coming with pets. We came with 3 small dogs and got our full deposit back. Mention this cause one review had an issue. We had none, so would assume they are fair on this. Also, this was a pet friendly site and we found no hair. We have allergies and have dachshunds that don't shed much and have no pet dander and we had no issues with allergies that weekend. Cabin was very clean. Maybe a spider web or 2 up high. But its a cabin in the forest. Cabin had a duster on a pole in the pantry. If you our renting a cabin, I would suggest the willingness to use one if it bothers you. As for us, the webs remained.

The same was for us with the late checkout. We checked online to see if the cabin was booked right after our stay. It was not, so we asked for a late checkout and they had no problem with giving us it. So if they can, they will.

I hate to even mention the cabin we stayed in cause I don't want it booked when we want it. But, Our Cute Cabin was just as described by Big Bear Destination. What a wonderful place with all the windows to see the snow fall. Even though it has easy access the cabin is very secluded and has many trees behind it and the other cabins. With a little more snow you can have your own private slope behind it to sled on.

As a side note from someone that has rented multiple cabins ask or I prefer emailing(then you have it in writing) the questions you have ahead of time. and again Destination Big Bear quickly responded to them all.

If you don't want steps, ask the question. for me some steps is worth it if it gives you a view.

Parking can be another issue. Some can have long and steep driveways. So if that's an issue when its snowing ask. I did

Reading one review. I should have asked for hand towels for the kitchen. I am positive they would have brought some out.

Also, read what is included. We came with trash bags, paper towels and toilet paper so had no issues with not having some. Plus never rented a cabin in Big Bear that did not have you take the trash to the dump site. If you want daily cleanings stay at a Hotel.

Thank you Destination Big Bear for renting us Our Cute Cabin. My wife had a wonderful B-day weekend with the family.
