There is just a different buzz around the mountain when winter comes, and if you are a boarder yourself then you know what I mean. You also know that there&#8217;s no better winter kick-off than the annual Hot Dawgz and Handrails! This year is Big Bear&#8217;s 16th year of bringing you this epic event. It might not be &#8220;officially&#8221; winter yet, but on September 28th we&#8217;ve got a forecast of 100% snow!\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8915 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.destinationbigbear.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/hdhr_ramp_1900x671.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.destinationbigbear.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/hdhr_ramp_1900x671.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.destinationbigbear.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/hdhr_ramp_1900x671-300x106.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.destinationbigbear.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/hdhr_ramp_1900x671-520x183.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 477px) 100vw, 477px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The event is typically held at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destinationbigbear.com\/blog\/stay-play-winter-cabin-giveaway\/\">Bear Mountain<\/a> Resort but this year, while the resort is getting an expansion to the deck, they&#8217;ll be bringing all the action to you at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destinationbigbear.com\/blog\/snow-summit\/\">Snow Summit<\/a>!
