Big Bear Workforce Housing Initiative<\/h1>\n

Since exploding into a vacation town, Big Bear is now facing a housing shortage for our workforce. In lieu of this issue, The Vacation Rental industry has banded together and is collecting a .5% volunteer tax on every booking done. These dollars will be paid to Big Bear Workforce Housing Initiative, a local non-profit organization, each quarter. Big Bear Workforce Housing Initiative will be in charge of disbursing the money to home owners quarterly through a steering committee. These funds will be used to pay renters application fees amongst other fees and costs. To aid in fixing this issue we are reaching out to non-occupied homeowners about turning their vacation rental <\/span>into a full-time rental.
